Quarter to Midnight by Karen Rose

A little behind the times here, but I have only recently discovered the books of the delightful Karen Rose  (https://www.karenrosebooks.com)  and … wow!  Current read: Quarter to Midnight, a romantic suspense set in the lush French Quarter of New Orleans . And it has ALL the things: a badass PI with a complicated past and a crush on her favorite chef who needs her help; one murder that turns into many as the cover-up grows and grows and grows, threatening to bring down a whole host of politically powerful folk, a supporting cast of quirky characters I quickly grew to love as much as the stars of the show, and of course a nice sprinkling of spice and romance throughout. And the audio narration is FABULOUS.  Just saying.  Check it out!
